What Does 25% Front Window Tint Look Like on a 2022–2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee?
See how closely 25% carbon front window tint matches the factory-tinted rear glass on a gray 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

What Does 25% Front Window Tint Look Like on a 2022–2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee?
Twenty-five percent carbon tint gives the front windows of a 2022–2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee a close visual match to the factory-tinted rear glass. It creates a clean, balanced appearance without making the front cabin as dark as 20% or 5% tint.
During the daytime, you can still see into the front cabin through 25% film. It offers some privacy, but it does not create the stronger silhouette effect commonly associated with 20% tint.
This gray 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee came to Dope Tintings Automotive Window Tint in Pennsauken, New Jersey, for 25% carbon tint on its two front doors. The goal was to match the factory-tinted rear glass while improving the SUV’s appearance, privacy, glare reduction, and heat rejection.
The Jeep had a black interior and four-wheel drive. Its exact trim was not confirmed. This example covers the regular two-row Grand Cherokee, not the longer Jeep Grand Cherokee L.

This information applies to the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee, 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee, 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee, 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and 2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee.
What We Tinted on This 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee
This installation included:
- 25% carbon window film
- Driver-side front door
- Passenger-side front door
- Factory-tinted rear glass left unchanged
Only the two front windows were tinted because the customer wanted them to match the existing factory tint on the rear windows.

How Closely Does 25% Tint Match the Factory Rear Glass?
The 25% carbon film matched the factory-tinted rear windows very closely. Looking at the Jeep from the side, the front and rear glass have a consistent appearance without the front windows looking noticeably darker.
We often used 20% film to match the factory rear glass on the previous Grand Cherokee generation. However, the factory rear glass on the 2022–2026 body style appears lighter. Based on our installations, 25% carbon is the closer match on this generation.
The match can still look slightly different depending on the sunlight, weather, viewing angle, and amount of light entering through the windshield. No aftermarket film is guaranteed to look identical to factory-colored privacy glass under every condition.
Can You See Inside a Jeep Grand Cherokee With 25% Tint?

Yes. During the daytime, you can still see into the front cabin through 25% tint. It provides more privacy than untinted glass, but it does not completely hide the driver or passenger.
Unlike 20% tint, 25% usually does not create a strong silhouette effect. Someone standing outside can normally tell that a person is inside the vehicle, particularly when sunlight is passing through the windshield or opposite window.
The black interior helps this installation appear slightly darker than it would in an otherwise identical Grand Cherokee with a light gray, beige, or tan interior. However, the interior is still visible from certain angles.
Why Did the Customer Choose 25% Carbon Tint?
The customer primarily wanted the two front windows to match the factory-tinted rear glass. Tinting the fronts completed the appearance of the Jeep instead of leaving a noticeable difference between the clear front windows and darker rear glass.

The customer also wanted:
- Additional daytime privacy
- Reduced glare through the front side windows
- Some heat rejection for the driver and passenger
- A cleaner, more consistent exterior appearance
Carbon film provides better heat rejection than our standard film. It was also the appropriate option for this installation because our standard film is not available in the 25% shade needed for this factory match.
Is 25% Tint Good for Everyday Driving?
Yes. We recommend 25% carbon on the two front windows when a customer wants to closely match the factory rear glass on a 2022–2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

It is a good everyday percentage because it is lighter than 20%, 15%, or 5% tint. Drivers should have clear outward visibility during the day, and most drivers should not experience significant difficulty seeing through it at night.
Individual eyesight and surrounding lighting always make a difference, but 25% is one of the more manageable darker shades for nighttime driving. It provides a noticeable appearance change without creating the severe low-light visibility problems associated with 5% tint.
Before selecting any front-window percentage, drivers should understand their local regulations. New Jersey restricts aftermarket tint on front side windows and windshields. Read our complete New Jersey window tint law guide for more information.
Jeep Grand Cherokee Window Tint Pricing
The 25% carbon installation featured in this article costs $144.99 for the two front doors.

| Tint service | Standard film | Carbon film | Ceramic film |
|---|---|---|---|
| Two front doors | Not available in 25% | $144.99 | $174.99 |
| Full vehicle, including rear glass | $274.99 | $349.99 | $449.99 |
| Full windshield | $124.99 | $149.99 | $224.99 |
Our ceramic film is not available in an exact 25% shade. Customers choosing ceramic for the two front windows would need to select another percentage, so it may not match the factory rear glass as closely as the 25% carbon option.
Because the Grand Cherokee is an SUV, it is not eligible for our $99.99 or $149.99 promotional tint packages.
Financing options are available through American First Finance. Approval and payment terms are determined by the financing provider.

Real vehicle photographs provide a better comparison than a small tint display board because the exterior color, interior color, sunlight, windshield, and factory rear glass all affect how a percentage appears.
