2025–Present Nissan Armada Window Tint Guide: Prices, 20% Factory Match & Installation

What Tint Matches the Factory Rear Windows on a Nissan Armada?

Based on our experience tinting the 2025–present Nissan Armada, 20% window tint is our normal choice when a customer wants the two front windows to closely match the appearance of the factory rear privacy glass.

The actual 2026 Nissan Armada pictured throughout this guide received:

  • 20% carbon window tint
  • Two front door windows only
  • Factory rear privacy glass was left unchanged

The customer wanted to complete the appearance of the SUV while also getting some additional heat rejection around the driver and front passenger.

The two-front-window installation takes us approximately one hour.

Real 2026 Nissan Armada With 20% Carbon Front Window Tint

This guide isn't based on a stock photograph or a vehicle we've never worked on.

The Armada pictured throughout this article is an actual 2026 Nissan Armada tinted at Dope Tintings in Pennsauken, New Jersey.

The rear windows already had dark factory privacy glass.

Like many SUV owners, the customer didn't want to darken the entire vehicle.

She simply wanted the two clear front windows to more closely match the rear.

We installed:

20% carbon film on the driver and passenger front windows.

The finished result gave the Armada a much more consistent appearance from front to rear.

Is 20% Tint a Good Match for Nissan Armada Factory Tint?

Yes.

Based on our experience with this generation, 20% gives a very close visual match to the factory privacy glass in the rear of the Armada.

That doesn't mean the rear glass itself necessarily has aftermarket 20% window film installed.

Factory privacy glass and aftermarket window film are different products.

We're talking about the visual match.

When an Armada owner asks us:

"What percentage should I put on the two front windows to match the back?"

20% is where we normally start.

Why Not Use 15% to Match the Nissan Armada Factory Windows?

This is where installer experience matters.

Some tint shops may install 15% on the two front windows because the front of the vehicle receives considerably more light through the windshield.

From outside the vehicle, that additional light can make 20% on the front doors appear lighter than the factory rear privacy glass.

Using 15% can compensate for that appearance when someone is standing outside looking at the SUV.

But there's a downside.

The view from inside the vehicle can be different.

Once you're sitting inside, 15% on the front doors can appear noticeably darker than the factory rear glass.

That's not the type of factory match we're trying to create.

At Dope Tintings, we'd rather install a percentage that more closely matches the actual rear privacy glass instead of deliberately making the front windows darker simply to manipulate how they appear from outside.

For this generation Armada, 20% is our preferred factory-match starting point.

Why Can 20% Look Lighter From Outside the Armada?

The windshield.

If nothing is installed on the windshield, a large amount of daylight enters through the front of the SUV.

That light illuminates the front cabin and can make the front door windows appear lighter from outside.

The rear cabin doesn't receive light in exactly the same way.

That's why comparing tint percentages by standing outside a vehicle can sometimes be misleading.

You should consider how the glass looks from both:

  • Outside the vehicle
  • Inside the vehicle

Our goal with a factory match is to get the front windows reasonably close to the factory rear privacy glass—not simply make the SUV appear uniformly black from one exterior viewing angle.

Our current starting prices for the two front windows only on a 2025–present Nissan Armada are:

FilmTwo Front Windows

The actual 2026 Armada featured in this guide received:

Contact us for current pricing and your exact quote.

Is the $99.99 Two-Window Price the Same as the $99.99 Tint Special?

No.

This distinction is important.

Our $99.99 starting price for two Armada front windows is regular pricing for tinting only those two windows with our standard film.

That is completely separate from our promotional $99.99 full-vehicle special offered on certain qualifying vehicles.

The Nissan Armada does not qualify for that promotional special.

Does a Nissan Armada Qualify for the $99.99 or $149.99 Window Tint Special?

No.

SUVs are excluded from those specials.

The specials are designed around certain qualifying vehicles that we can complete within the labor and time requirements of the promotion.

Because the Armada is an SUV, it does not qualify.

Again:

$99.99 for two front Armada windows is not the promotional $99.99 full-vehicle special.

How Much Does It Cost to Tint an Entire Nissan Armada?

Our current starting pricing for the four doors and rear glass of a 2025–present Nissan Armada is:

Nissan Armada Tint PackageStarting Price
Standard Film$299.99
Carbon Film$349.99
Ceramic Film$449.99

Additional glass or services may affect the final price.

How Long Does It Take to Tint Two Nissan Armada Front Windows?

For us, approximately:

1 hour.

Even though the two front doors are relatively straightforward, we're still preparing the vehicle and taking the time necessary to produce the installation we're looking for.

2025–Present Nissan Armada Window Tint Guide: Prices, 20% Factory Match & Installation — photo 2

How Long Does It Take to Tint an Entire Nissan Armada?

Tinting the four doors and rear glass typically takes us approximately:

2 to 2½ hours.

The exact time can vary depending on vehicle condition and what we're installing.

Is the 2025–Present Nissan Armada Difficult to Tint?

Surprisingly, no.

The Armada is a large SUV, but size doesn't automatically mean difficult.

For an experienced professional installer, we consider the 2025–present Armada an easy-to-average installation.

The:

  • Front doors are relatively straightforward
  • Rear doors are straightforward
  • Rear quarter windows are straightforward
  • Rear hatch glass is straightforward
  • Window gaskets aren't unusually tight

As with any modern vehicle, however, preparation and interior protection still matter.

Are the Nissan Armada Front Doors Difficult to Tint?

No.

The gaskets aren't particularly tight and the glass itself isn't unusually challenging.

However, with our installation method, we recommend removing the two front door panels when we're tinting the front windows.

It's not absolutely necessary.

The vehicle can still be tinted with the panels installed.

But removing them gives us better working access and helps us produce the top-notch installation we're after.

Do Nissan Armada Door Panels Need to Be Removed for Window Tint?

Not necessarily.

This is an important distinction.

You can tint the front windows without removing the panels.

With our installation process, however, we recommend removing the two front panels because it provides better access.

One area where that can make a difference is near the:

Side-mirror corners.

Leaving the panels completely installed can make those areas more challenging to finish exactly the way we want.

That's why our preferred approach is panel removal when appropriate.

Why Does the Area Near the Armada Side Mirrors Matter?

The corner of the glass near the side mirror can be an area where working clearance becomes more limited.

An installer may still be able to complete the window without panel removal.

But we're interested in producing the cleanest result we reasonably can.

Better access allows us to properly position the film around those tighter areas rather than simply rushing the installation because it's "only two windows."

Does the New Nissan Armada Have Soft Interior Materials?

One thing installers should pay attention to on this generation is the soft interior material used around the doors.

From our experience, these surfaces can be relatively easy to damage if the installer isn't careful.

That means protecting the interior isn't optional.

It's part of properly preparing the vehicle.

Can a Heat Gun Damage a Nissan Armada Interior?

Yes.

Professional window tint installation involves heat.

Heat guns are commonly used during different parts of the installation process.

If an installer carelessly holds a heat gun too close to leather or other soft interior material, excessive heat can:

  • Burn the surface
  • Discolor it
  • Distort it
  • Cause permanent cosmetic damage

That's one reason we're careful about interior protection even on a vehicle we otherwise consider relatively easy to tint.

A simple film installation shouldn't turn into an interior repair.

Are the Rear Doors on a Nissan Armada Difficult to Tint?

No.

Based on our experience, the rear doors are relatively straightforward for an experienced professional.

The gaskets don't create an unusual challenge and there isn't anything about the rear door glass that makes us consider this a particularly difficult installation.

Are the Nissan Armada Rear Quarter Windows Difficult to Tint?

No.

We consider the rear quarter windows straightforward.

They're another reason why the Armada's large physical size shouldn't be confused with installation difficulty.

It's a big SUV, but most of the glass is relatively manageable for an experienced installer.

Is the Nissan Armada Rear Hatch Glass Difficult to Tint?

No.

The rear hatch glass is also relatively straightforward from a film-installation standpoint.

As always, the vehicle still needs to be properly prepared and protected before installation begins.

Is the 2025–Present Nissan Armada Windshield Difficult to Tint?

From a film-installation standpoint, it's relatively straightforward for an experienced installer.

The bigger concern is water and installation-solution control.

Modern vehicles contain sensitive electronics behind and around the dashboard.

When installing full-windshield tint, we protect the lower windshield/dashboard area and control how much installation solution we're using.

Can Water Damage Nissan Armada Electronics During Windshield Tinting?

Potentially.

An installer shouldn't be flooding a modern vehicle's dashboard with installation solution.

Water traveling behind the dash can potentially reach sensitive electronics, including modules that control vehicle functions.

That's why windshield preparation isn't simply about cleaning the glass.

It's also about protecting what's underneath it.

With newer vehicles, installers need to pay attention to:

  • Dashboard protection
  • Electronic modules
  • Wiring
  • Sensors
  • Installation-solution volume
  • Where the solution is traveling

Proper preparation reduces unnecessary risk.

Why Did This 2026 Armada Customer Choose Carbon Tint?

This customer had two goals.

1. Appearance

She wanted the two clear front windows to more closely match the dark factory rear privacy glass.

20% accomplished that.

2. Heat rejection

She also wanted additional heat rejection around the driver/front-passenger area.

That's why she selected carbon rather than our standard film.

For a customer only tinting two front windows, carbon can offer a good balance between performance and price.

Is Carbon Tint Worth It on the Two Front Windows of a Nissan Armada?

For many customers, yes.

If you're only doing the two fronts but want more than appearance alone, carbon is the option we recommend discussing.

That's exactly what happened with the featured 2026 Armada.

The owner wanted the factory-matched look but also wanted some additional heat rejection while driving.

Carbon made sense for those goals.

Is Ceramic Tint Worth It on Only Two Nissan Armada Front Windows?

Usually, we don't recommend spending the additional money on ceramic solely for maximum cabin heat rejection when you're only tinting two front windows.

Why?

Because the Armada has a lot of glass.

Solar energy can still enter through the:

  • Windshield
  • Rear doors
  • Rear quarter glass
  • Rear hatch glass
  • Sunroof or panoramic roof when equipped

Installing ceramic on only two pieces of glass doesn't create the same overall cabin heat-rejection strategy as addressing the major sun-exposed glass throughout the vehicle.

There can be exceptions, including customers with specific medical or personal needs.

But for a typical customer tinting only two fronts, carbon is generally the option we'd recommend discussing first.

What's the Best Nissan Armada Tint Setup for Maximum Heat Rejection?

That's a completely different goal from simply matching the factory rear windows.

If an Armada customer tells us:

"I want maximum heat rejection."

we want to discuss the entire vehicle.

A comprehensive ceramic setup can include:

  • Front door windows
  • Rear door windows
  • Rear quarter glass
  • Rear hatch glass
  • Full front windshield
  • Sunroof or panoramic roof when equipped

The idea is to address the major sun-exposed glass surfaces instead of putting high-performance film on two windows while leaving large untreated areas exposed to sunlight.

Does Ceramic Tint Have to Be Dark?

No.

This is an important misconception.

Film darkness and film technology aren't the same thing.

Ceramic films can be available in lighter percentages.

A customer interested in heat rejection doesn't necessarily need an extremely dark-looking windshield or extremely dark side windows.

However, film availability and appearance should not be confused with what is legal to install.

New Jersey has specific rules regarding front-side-window and windshield tint.

We'll discuss those below.

Does Factory Privacy Glass Reject Heat Like Carbon or Ceramic Tint?

Factory privacy glass and aftermarket performance window film should not automatically be treated as the same thing.

Privacy glass is primarily darkened glass.

A customer whose only goal is appearance may be satisfied with leaving the factory rear glass alone and matching the two front windows.

A customer whose priority is heat rejection should discuss film performance and whether adding appropriate film to additional glass areas makes sense.

That's another reason we ask what you're trying to accomplish before recommending a package.

What Model Years Does This Nissan Armada Tint Guide Cover?

This guide covers the redesigned 2025–present Nissan Armada generation.

The actual vehicle featured throughout the article is a:

2026 Nissan Armada

Our installation observations come from hands-on experience with this generation.

What Trim Levels Does the 2025–Present Nissan Armada Have?

Trim availability varies by model year.

For 2025, the Armada lineup includes:

  • SV
  • SL
  • Platinum
  • PRO-4X
  • Platinum Reserve

For 2026, the lineup includes:

  • SV
  • SL
  • Platinum
  • PRO-4X
  • Platinum Reserve
  • NISMO

The addition of the NISMO is one reason we don't assume every model year within a generation has an identical trim lineup.

For window tint, tell us your:

Year + Armada + trim + which windows you want tinted.

Does Nissan Armada Trim Level Affect Window Tint?

It can, particularly when we're discussing more than the two front doors.

The basic front-door tinting approach remains similar, but different trims and options can affect the amount of glass and equipment on the vehicle.

That's particularly relevant when a customer is interested in maximum heat rejection.

If your Armada has additional roof glass, that becomes part of the conversation when deciding whether a comprehensive ceramic package makes sense.

Should I Tint the Sunroof or Panoramic Roof on a Nissan Armada?

If your Armada is equipped with roof glass and your only goal is appearance, you may not care about adding film there.

If your goal is maximum heat rejection, we look at it differently.

A large glass roof is another sun-exposed area.

For someone investing in a comprehensive ceramic setup, we'd discuss whether that glass should be included along with:

2025–Present Nissan Armada Window Tint Guide: Prices, 20% Factory Match & Installation — photo 4
  • Side windows
  • Rear glass
  • Windshield

Again, the goal determines the recommendation.

What Tint Percentage Should I Put on My Nissan Armada Front Windows?

Don't choose a percentage simply because another Armada owner did.

Ask what you want the film to accomplish.

For someone specifically trying to match the factory rear privacy glass, our normal starting point on this generation is:

20%.

If your priorities are different—such as lighter appearance, nighttime visibility or another specific need—you may prefer something else.

Window tint percentage is ultimately based on customer preference and goals.

Is 15% or 20% Better on a Nissan Armada?

For a factory rear match, we prefer 20%.

15% is darker.

A shop may choose 15% because additional light entering through the windshield can make the front windows look lighter from outside.

But once you're sitting inside, you may notice the fronts are darker than the factory rear glass.

Our preference is to get closer to the actual factory appearance instead of intentionally making the front windows darker.

Is 20% Tint Hard to See Through at Night?

20% is considerably darker than lighter films such as 35%.

Any time you make automotive glass darker, nighttime visibility should be part of your decision.

That doesn't mean 20% is automatically right or wrong for you.

It means you should consider:

  • How much you drive at night
  • Your personal vision
  • How well-lit your normal roads are
  • Your privacy goals
  • Your appearance goals
  • Applicable window-tint laws

Don't choose tint percentage based solely on a daylight photograph.

What Are New Jersey's Window Tint Laws for a Nissan Armada?

This is especially important for the setup discussed in this article.

The featured Armada received aftermarket film on the two front door windows.

What a customer chooses to have installed and what New Jersey law permits are separate issues.

Before deciding on front-window or windshield tint, read our complete guide:

New Jersey Window Tint Laws: Complete 2026 Guide

The customer vehicles shown on our website represent real installations and customer selections. They should not be interpreted as statements that every pictured percentage is legal for every window.

Can Police Pull You Over for Nissan Armada Window Tint in New Jersey?

Understand the enforcement risk before choosing aftermarket front-window or windshield tint.

Don't assume something is legal simply because you've seen other SUVs driving around with the same setup.

For a more detailed explanation, read:

Can Cops Pull You Over for Just Window Tint in New Jersey? 2026 Guide

Does Windshield Tint Affect New Jersey Inspection?

Windshield tint, vehicle inspection and roadside tint enforcement aren't necessarily the same question.

If you're considering a full windshield—especially as part of a heat-rejection package—understand the applicable New Jersey requirements before making your decision.

We recommend reviewing the current rules rather than assuming that choosing a lighter film automatically makes a windshield setup legal.

How Should I Prepare My Nissan Armada for Window Tint?

You don't need to detail the exterior before bringing the SUV to us.

The interior condition around the glass matters much more to the installation.

Try to bring us a reasonably clean vehicle without excessive:

  • Pet hair
  • Dust
  • Loose debris
  • Smoke residue
  • Dirt around the windows
  • Interior clutter

This is particularly important on a large SUV where there's considerably more interior space capable of holding dust and debris.

A clean starting environment helps us control contamination during installation.

How Much Contamination Is Acceptable in Nissan Armada Window Tint?

Automotive window tint is hand installed.

That means realistic expectations matter, but obvious hair, excessive dirt and poor workmanship shouldn't simply be dismissed as normal.

Preparation is a major part of producing a quality installation.

Can I Tint My Nissan Armada When It's Raining or Snowing?

Yes.

Automotive window film is installed on the interior surface of the glass.

Rain or snow outside doesn't automatically prevent us from installing film.

Cold temperatures and weather can affect curing time afterward.

Why Bring Your Nissan Armada to a Professional Tint Shop?

The 2025–present Armada isn't an exceptionally difficult vehicle to tint.

2025–Present Nissan Armada Window Tint Guide: Prices, 20% Factory Match & Installation — photo 5

That doesn't mean there's nothing to damage.

An experienced installer still needs to understand:

  • Proper front-door access
  • Working around the side-mirror corners
  • When door-panel removal improves access
  • Protecting soft interior materials
  • Safe heat-gun use
  • Controlling installation solution
  • Protecting electronics during windshield installation
  • Proper preparation
  • Contamination control

A straightforward vehicle can still be damaged by careless installation.

Frequently Asked Questions About 2025–Present Nissan Armada Window Tint

What tint matches Nissan Armada factory rear windows?

Based on our experience with the 2025–present Armada, 20% is our normal starting point for closely matching the appearance of the factory rear privacy glass.

Is 20% a perfect match to Nissan factory privacy glass?

We're talking about a close visual match. Factory privacy glass and aftermarket 20% window film are not necessarily identical products.

Why do some tint shops use 15% to match factory tint?

Additional light entering through the windshield can make the front windows look lighter from outside. Some shops compensate by installing darker 15% film. We prefer 20% because 15% can make the front windows look noticeably darker than the rear glass from inside the vehicle.

How much does it cost to tint two Nissan Armada front windows?

Our current starting prices are $99.99 standard, $124.99 carbon and $174.99 ceramic.

How much does it cost to tint the entire Nissan Armada?

Our current starting pricing for the four doors and rear glass is $299.99 standard, $349.99 carbon and $449.99 ceramic.

How long does it take to tint two Armada front windows?

Approximately one hour at our shop.

How long does it take to tint the four doors and rear glass?

Approximately 2 to 2½ hours.

Is the new Nissan Armada difficult to tint?

For an experienced professional, we consider it an easy-to-average installation.

Do the Armada front door panels need to be removed?

Not absolutely, but with our installation process we recommend removing them to provide better access and help achieve the installation quality we're looking for.

Why remove the front panels?

One benefit is improved working access near the side-mirror corners.

Are the Armada window gaskets tight?

No. We don't consider the gaskets unusually tight on this generation.

Are the rear quarter windows difficult?

No. We consider them straightforward.

Is the rear hatch difficult to tint?

No. It's relatively straightforward for an experienced installer.

Is the Armada windshield difficult to tint?

The film installation itself is manageable. Protecting the dashboard and electronics and controlling installation solution are the bigger concerns.

Is carbon tint worth it on an Armada?

It can be an excellent choice for someone wanting a factory-matched appearance plus additional heat rejection without moving to ceramic pricing.

Is ceramic worth it for only two Armada front windows?

For a typical customer whose main goal is overall cabin heat rejection, we generally don't recommend paying for ceramic on only two windows. Carbon is usually the option we'd discuss first unless the customer has another specific need.

What's the best Armada setup for maximum heat rejection?

We'd discuss a more comprehensive ceramic setup covering the major sun-exposed glass, including the sides, rear, windshield and roof glass when equipped.

Does a Nissan Armada qualify for the $99.99 tint special?

No. SUVs are excluded from that promotion.

Why can two Armada front windows still start at $99.99?

That's our regular starting price for two front windows only with standard film. It isn't the promotional full-vehicle $99.99 special.
